KONYA (AA) - In Konya, the Ministry of National Education and ASELSAN Konya Silah Sistemleri A.Ş. A protocol was signed with the aim of establishing a vocational and technical Anatolian high school.
In his written statement, ASELSAN Konya General Manager Bülent Işık stated that the project, which will have an important place in the policies of the Ministry of National Education, is planned to start education in 2022.
Emphasizing that the school aims to contribute to the training of qualified workforce for the defense industry, Işık said:
"In this period when our country has changed its crust in every field, it is extremely important for our students, who are the heirs of our future, to be educated in such schools equipped with the content and infrastructure that will meet the needs of our industry, not only in the supply of intermediate level technical personnel, but also in the training of engineers with a strong infrastructure. In this context, ASELSAN Konya Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School will be a valuable resource and an exemplary project in this field in supplying well-equipped personnel with the necessary theoretical and practical infrastructure not only to Konya but also to our country. We would like to express our gratitude to our Minister of National Education, Deputy Minister, General Manager of Vocational and Technical Education, Governor, Metropolitan Mayor and ASELSAN senior management who contributed to the implementation of this protocol.'
The school with 32 classrooms, which will start education in 2022 in the Sancak District of the Central Selcuklu district, has a conference and indoor sports hall and 2 workshop buildings.
