Aselsan Konya Conflict Minerals Policy

Aselsan Konya, together with its suppliers, aims to reach the highest levels of ethical, occupational health & safety and environmental standards, and adopts the following policy regarding the supply of minerals from conflict-affected and high-risk areas.

Conflict minerals such as Tin, Tungsten, Tantalum, Gold etc. Some of the mines are used by our suppliers in the production of some products. Aselsan Konya supports and undertakes to refrain from any action that contributes to the financing of conflicts and to comply with the relevant United Nations sanction decisions and, where applicable, the local laws that implement these decisions, as well as for our suppliers and business partners to comply with the same.

Aselsan Konya; Within the scope of managing risks and exposures related to conflict minerals, it expects its suppliers and business partners to fulfill the following issues.

- The smelter, source country, mine location, etc. to identify any “Conflict Mineral” in the value chain. Collaborating with suppliers to identify,

- Taking action to eliminate risks by working with its own suppliers that may have potential risks, stopping cooperation with its suppliers in case the risk reduction attempt fails,

- Offers, requests for bribes, etc., in order to hide or change the origin of minerals. not taking any initiatives and resisting bribery incentives,

- for the effective elimination of money laundering in cases where money laundering is detected in connection with or arising out of illegal taxation of minerals or forcible extraction, trade, distribution, transport or export of minerals in traded areas, shipping routes and points of access to mining sites. supporting efforts and contributing in this direction,

- To undertake to cooperate with suppliers, national or international official authorities, institutions, non-governmental organizations and affected third parties in case of need, in order to prevent or reduce the risks of negative impacts related to conflict minerals.
